Myler® Stainless Steel 3 3/4" Dee without Hooks, MB 32-3 Mullen Triple Barrel, Level 2. The MB 32-3 is an innovative Myler alternative to the traditional mullen mouth. It has three barrels which turn the mouthpiece from the typical solid bar of a mullen into a flexible bar which allows the horse to elevate his tongue and swallow more easily.

When reins are engaged, the mouthpiece becomes a solid bar like a traditional mullen, but with an exaggerated curve. This curved bar rotates across the bars and lips down onto the tongue, applying pressure across the entire surface of the tongue. The flexibility of the MB 32-3 makes it very forgiving and comforting when relaxed but offers the rider control when engaged.

Notes:

• Because the tongue pressure applied by the MB 32-3 is evenly distributed across the entire tongue, this mouthpiece is considered stronger than the MB 04. However, its flexibility makes it a forgiving mouthpiece that works well for horses who have suffered mouth trauma or damage or for horses that tend to go behind the bit.

The dee without hooks is a traditional “D” shaped cheek with fixed attachment of the mouthpiece. This style keeps the mouthpiece from draping on the tongue, providing a more direct signal than the loose ring. The straight side of the dee will not pull through the mouth and does not pinch.
